Standard Frame Specification

All frames are manufactured using slim outer frame as standard unless alternative is requested
All beading comes properly fitted into frame & takes 28mm glass units
Where possible we will supply you glass sizes upon signed order confirmation. However If the frame has curves or radiating bars within it, actual glass manufacture size templates will be supplied instead.
Unless specified, frames will be internally beaded and face drained as standard
Frames have fully welded corners with mechanical mullions unless otherwise specified or agreed
Mechanical joints are machine scribed & hand finished
Reinforcing will always be fitted where practical

Orders / Quotations are preferred using the GableCraft Order Form which can be on our Downloads page.
This will always be the most up to date version listed here

Profiles We Work With

Please view the Profiles Stocked page for a list of all the profiles we can work with
All profile brands are charged at the same price
For small width frames, please check if we can bend your specified profile to that size before ordering. In some cases we would have to specify the use of Rehau due to its bending properties

Templates

Arched templates need to be of the actual curve we are going to produce.
They need to be tidy without chunks out of them.
Templates can be card, paper, timber or any materials such as this.

Delivery Method & Lead Time

All Shaped frames will be delivered by GableCraft within coverage area. Most UK areas coverage with delivery FOC
Deliveries outside of coverage area will be made using a nationwide carrier
Frames delivered on carrier will be packaged using cardboard protective U-Channel or boxed & bubble wrapped.
Standard lead time is 10–14 working days
Please allow 10-14 working days for all Arches & Sunburst gable designs. For Arched sash doors, please allow 3-4 weeks

Gable & Raked Frame size guidance

Minimum overall frame height for sunburst is 700mm, if lower POA
For sunburst frames with curved transoms in, please refer to Arched Frame size guidance for that element of your frame

We can weld upstands below 100mm, but if this is required POA
Depending on profile, the minimum pitch welded to a point is 17.5 degrees

Whether your frame is to a point or has an upstand, the price remains the same
